Brad Parker is a filmmaker and narrative storyteller whose work is grounded in authentic moments and emotion. He has directed commercials and digital films for brands such as Nike, Nintendo, Sony, EA, Chrysler, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, Molson and Panasonic.
He directed his first feature in 2012, Warner Bros’ Chernobyl Diaries, a largely improvisational horror film produced by Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) which grossed over 10 times its budget.
Brad began his career as an animator and art director and joined Digital Domain to work on visual effects for feature films, where he contributed to numerous successes including Fight Club, xXx, The Time Machine and We Own The Night. As Visual Effects Supervisor, Brad became highly recognized in the industry for his work on commercials for adidas, Gatorade and eBay. He collaborated frequently with directors including Joe Pytka and Mark Romanek, and it was Romanek who inspired and encouraged him to branch out as a fulltime director.
In addition to directing commercials, Brad has directed second-unit on the features Let Me In, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the upcoming War of the Planet of the Apes.
He’s currently attached to direct an Untitled character-driven action movie with Paramount, produced by J.J. Abrams and his production company Bad Robot, and The Mountain, a romantic horror film with Ben Stiller’s Red Hour slated to produce.
